Busy day for small bike related things today. BSB tickets for 2 rounds bought. Set of full wets transferred from Panigale V4 wheels to spare Multistrada wheels. You never know, if I can get a UK track day at some stage this year, makes sense to be prepared for damp conditions. Order a set of Supercorsa SP V3’s for the V4. Popped in the MR for a chat and get organised to drop the Diavel and the SuperSport off for servicing. Removed the Garmin satnav mount and wiring loom from the Diavel. Started to feel a bit chilled so installing the Garmin mount and wiring loom on the Scrambler can wait for another day. Andy
Been in the garage showing Slow Dave the Bayliss again. It’s very lovely Also had a pic sent to me of Foggy with my old bike
Forgot, also bought Carole an X-Lite 802RR for track days. She doesn’t need a new one but her current helmet is well used and I noticed the last time I looked, the foam has started to come away from the carbon shell. Given the deal I was offered, the decision was a no brainer Andy
Got a call from them good lads at Ducati Mcr saying my bike is all done and ready for collection The work on the forks has been carried out under warranty Roll on tomorrow!
Started to strip some bling off of the 765rs in readiness for selling it, then I can collect its Ducati replacement from a forum member
When I got the bike they were fine - but took them off to get them resprayed at the same time as the fairing (who wants black mirrors on a red bike...) When I put them back on they started to droop when riding the bike - I'm guessing because they'd been moved around (etc) as they were being prepped / masked etc. The screw in the middle wasn't as tight as it could have been so a quick tweak and they now seem ok
I'm always adjusting the lhs one on the move, i put it down to tidying the office desk as i go on my travels.
Popped in to see Thomas from Addiction Motorsport to pick these bad boys up on my last trip down south. Top bloke!
Guy that suddenly did a uturn in front of me while filtering admitted liability, so claim should hopefully go through smoothly, also ordered a new jacket, helmet, gloves and comms unit.
Found a solution to replace a no longer manufactured ball bearing on a gt250 output shaft. Well chuffed.
Brought the bike back from having the forks re-chromed and new seals fitted, looks good feels a lot better. On stopping and blipping the throttle I noticed puffs of blue smoke coming from the right hand exhaust! Going to spend a bit of time with it when I can for a closer examination, but good god what next! Anyone want to buy a good clean example of a classic 1997 900ss
I would but I was after one with blue smoke from the left hand exhaust and it just wouldn't be the same..
