I remember the carbon air box was a labour of love, not sure I knew @Sev back then. https://www.ducatiforum.co.uk/threads/900-cafe-racer-hopefully.18286/
that is the later version, with later 1100 engine? That bike is priceless isn't it? @Pablo Pirate might get this tag despite not being on for 11 plus weeks.
This is why i like my heavy duty twin axle plant trailers with the drop down ramp where you can access the flatbed walking alongside without any fuss.
It's why I always hire a van to collect a bike. I really don't like towing small narrow track trailers with little wheels that are too close behind the car, they are sooooo unstable, and seem to be worse behind a bigger car than a smaller one. Once they get a wobble on they are doomed, and react far too quickly when reversing. And Cars need proper towbars. My Boat on it's twin axle trailer is @7.5M long, wider than my Discovery, and can be over 3tns when fully loaded with Diving and camping gear. But I'd much rather tow that than a small box trailer or bike trailer like the one shown above. It's as stable as anything at speed, and I can position it really accurately when reversing.
Not sure what type of trailer it is if the hitch detaches from the towing vehicle whilst moving, still unlikely to end well! Hopefully not too much damage in this case.
It does to me, sympathies to the owner though that must have been a gut wrenching walk back. Hopefully it’s only cosmetic damage and hasn’t been seriously damaged.
