I’ve had an old helmet kicking around a while, so was planning something a bit off the wall with it these long boring nights. That’s turned out to be a Testastretta tribute with faux working gears, belts, clutch, air intakes and lights. Thought it would go well with the light unit. She’s all Dremeled out now, with red base coat applied. I’ve sourced and trial fitted most of the parts, everything will run on bearings and be driven by 6v motors. Once I’ve finished the paint and graphics, hopefully today, I’ve start to fit everything. It’s been a laugh so far.
Painting done, final polish in a few days. Starting to come together, all gears/pulleys/bearings in, electrics on top to do. Faux rocker covers in. Everything spins nice and free..
Yet again I feel bullied by talented bastards who effortlessly belittle my sticky backed plastic and fairy liquid rocket making capability.
Uber cool! Does it "do" anything? Will it turbo charge my addled noggin? Will it give me super powers? I too am embarrassed by such things when I compare my own puffed pride on makinge something that works out of my kids lego!
It will mate, it will be mounted above the light unit made earlier, with 2 red led lights behind the visor. When I get round to it…
I too have an old helmet hanging around & my wife keeps asking me when I am going to put it to good use.
