Hi all, My 959 is at 15k miles and before I take it out for the summer I want to get the desmo service, my local Ducati stealerships quoted me around the £1k mark so does anyone know any good indies in the West Midlands or surrounding areas I can go to, I don't mind travelling further out. Thank you in advance
Apologies if i'm out of the loop here but what should I be paying for a desmo service because the quotes I seem to be around the £900-1k mark, is this right?
I spoke to Paul @ pgperformance and Neil @cornerspeed and they alao quoted between £800-900. Looking at older threads people seemed to have paid a bit less..
The “Desmo” service requires valve clearances to checked and if required, adjusted. The service parts alone cost in the region of £400 and if your valve clearances need adjusting, it adds hours of labour to the job. Make sure any quote is specific about what it includes. As an aside, Cornerspeed is a Ducati authorised service centre, so you get the best of both worlds, the Ducati service package at an independent’s prices. Andy
