You took the words right out of my mouth.

 

I remember seeing him interviewed some time ago on breakfast TV, the slightly smarmy host said, so, Meatloaf, what should we call you during this interview.

He immediately replied “You can call me Meat, or Mr Loaf”

The host called him Mr Loaf throughout, but don’t think they thought that was as funny as I, or indeed Mr Loaf, did.

 

I really liked that band. It's too bad he's dead.

 

Didn’t really gel with his flouncy shirt handkerchief carrying theatrical image, but he could hold a tune.

 

Not my cup of tea even in his hey day.

I loathe rock as 'opera', even merely as 'showbiz'. But speaking as someone with the world's worst singing voice, yeah he could.

Leonard Fenton, 95 years young.
Looks like a fine old chap, was in the first episode of Eastenders in 1985.
