Had Termi's and upmap fitted on my 899 yesterday, took it out for a bit of a blast today Whilst out today went to go see Artur at Desmoshed in Barnet and had throttle spacers fitted
I once met him years ago (around 1983-84 I guess) in Heathrow airport. He was a very quiet and thoroughly nice guy and wasn’t phased by people coming to him for a chat.
I’ve seen the Blockheads (sans Ian Dury) about 4 or 5 times at the Picturedrome in Holmfirth. They’ve always been excellent. And to watch Norman play and see his suit go from being dry at the start to being soaked in sweat by the end of the gig is very strange/funny/interesting
ha, don’t think I’ve ever known anyone who sweats more! He’s a great guy , we had some good times , he went on to play with Wilco and we ended up doing lots of gigs together! I remember playing the oasis centre in swindon with wilco and the blues band(Paul Jones) and having a great party with Norman and the lads!
Looked longingly at my bikes in the garage. Looked out the window and sees it blowing a gale again and noted that it was darker, wetter and windier at 1100 hrs than it was at 0900' WTF! This is the 139th day of my incarceration.
Took the 899 out for a long ride & ended up at Riders in Bristol. Drooled over the new V4 Panigale …… presently wracking my brain how I can afford one !
Just a thought if anyone is doing this, the spacer fir the water pump gear needs to be from an 'R' as its thicker, and you can fit an updated water pump from a 1299 but the dowel holes need modification
Quick change ssa not quite living up to the reality. Need to half remove the exhaust to fit the wheel However I can change the gearing in a couple of minutes. Not sure if that is useful or not.
Gave the KTM a thorough clean, not ridden that much over Winter but it was looking grim in places. Gave it a final spray over with silicone spray and now looks a lot better for it.
