Had a nice message from my daughter this morning telling me she’s now a band 6 Paramedic so that will be a pay rise ,although I have no doubt it won’t stop her from visiting the bank of dad!
Been chatting to a mate who had a spill in Spain, broken his pelvis and fractured a vertebrae in his back. Not sure which type of bike he came off, he rides lots of different bikes. The good news is he is insured, they flew him back to London on an air ambulance. He's been flat out for three weeks, had a procedure today to pin his pelvis. It sounds like he's had a lucky escape, no doubt I'll get the full story when I see him, not allowed visitors outside of immediate family. We wish him well.
My youngest tested positive last week, positive Monday negative Friday, hopefully the same for you and your daughter
All of you of course, some will be early, some belated, some spot on, at least nobody has been left out.
I'm waiting in for bike tyres again but i'll need to go out and deliver a car for somebody in Tunbridge wells, they say on their web page, Parcel Force attempted delivery at 6.00pm yesterday but i was in cooking and no card was left for me........fecker liars.
Been to see the dental hygienist who I believe to be 12yo. This afternoon we have to collect our grandchildren up from school as #2 son and wife are at a funeral/wake
Fitted my replacement L/H mirror & will be placing the ducati branded bubble wrap on ebay too double my money!!
Some friday's are better than others, and today was a good one with this beautiful 911E fully restored to factory spec.
Did some work, went to the gym, just made a bolognese sauce for our lasagne tomorrow night. It’ll go in the slow cooker all day tomorrow while we’re out, then I’ll make the bechemel and cook it all in the oven tomorrow night, while enjoying a nice big glass of red wine. Managed to track down the owner of our favourite Chinese restaurant in the week, so we’re going to his new place for dinner tonight.
thats kind of you, yes I’m very proud of her, she’s had a few commendations for saving lives, one a young chap who had a heart attack and she got him back! Then she gets spat at by idiots on Saturday nights! Grrrr! This the little 8 year old who insisted on coming to hospital with her dad when I caught my finger in table saw and promptly fainted when they took the bandage off!!
First "big" ride on new multistrada. 140 chilly miles to see @nelly who sorted a small issue for me. Thanks mate, it was good to be in north Notts again.
Had a ride to Woody Point.. Sorry about this fellas, but I’m lapping up some good weather in Australia seeing my daughter at the moment.. My head still doesn’t know what time zone I’m in as we’ve only been here a few days, but I felt okay for a little 48 mile leg stretcher out to the coast for some brekkie. I’ve got 3 of my old bikes at my Daughters so I’m well set up for something to ride, just no motorbikes! Went to a place called “ Woody point” north of Brisbane, this pic is taken on the pier at Shorncliffe on the way back, 10:00 am and it’s 27 deg C, got to 32 C just after lunch …stunning weather, not missing the sh1te at home at all ! And the best part is, I’ve got another 3 months of this ..I know, utter barstewart
