whats the difference between the two, im sure the 848/1*98 have 5 hole, are you sure the advertised one wont fit?
Just tried MR again and their systems aren't linked to other dealers. The one in the link looks like it'd fit but dealers are telling me the 1199 tank is a completely different design
I have a genuine 848 DP filler cap, it's carbon on the outside and a quick release billet cap. The original cap has 5 bolts, but the DP one only has three. There are loads of billet replicas on fleabay, if you can't get the genuine one. Hi Anth, the one you've got is the the newer version, I'm after the older style if I can get hold of one.
I didn't know there was newer and older versions.... I don't have a photo of it on my phone, I've just looked. I could have got you the part number off the box mine came in.
Apparently the old version was discontinued about 18 months ago. Tried JHP, Wolverhampton, Riders Bristol... Will keep ringing around I suppose
I think you could find this item quite elusive. As you mention, 848/1198 accessories were started to be discontinued about 18months ago. Unless someone has one on the shelf, I doubt you'll find one unless its second hand. Lightech do a nice one though.
two out of the 5 bolts don't do anything on the std fitment im sure but stand to be corrected that a 748- 998 is the same.........therefor there are loads of lookalikey that would do the job...

Ive got this style on my bike, bayonet closing, better than the DP threaded caps imho. Mine has harris performance etched on it but theyre all made by same company.
