1299 Help Identifying Bulbs

Discussion in 'Panigale' started by bradders, Feb 14, 2022.

  1. Anyone seen these before? From my 1299, high beam (outer bulbs). One was working, now neither are. Edit: I know they are led! Manufacturers or where from or a ‘type’ name is what I’m after and any info on them

  2. LED’s. Andy

  3. I meant where from or what type. I’m trying to work out if they are buggerred or something else and Google can’t seem to find ones that look like this. But they aren’t Ducati S bulbs..

  4. I think they are L E D Paul? ;)

  5. Nothing on the Ducati web site parts catalogue or the Owner’s Manual that gives even a clue. What is the German web site that usually gets quoted and has details ? Other than that, my guess is a phone call to your friendly parts department. Andy

  7. No I had a good search and can’t find anything Ducati branded looking like it.

  8. I couldn’t find the 1299S bulbs anywhere online. Gave up in the end. But those defo aren’t the ones Ducati use in the 1299S

  9. H4 HS1? LED. Just an idea. Search Ducati 1299s Probably find them on flea bay. Not standard
    Oh and they are LED

  10. Thanks. Loads of Google searches. Expat put me on to a Daytona YT vid of led upgrade and that’s what these look like.

My first problem is identifying if the non working lights are bulbs, relays or fuses….

  11. Multimeter is always your best friend! Process of elimination. Fuse, relay, bulb. These bulbs are on eBay. £25 delivered. Good luck!

  12. Any idea what resistance they should give? Couldn’t find either relay or bulb info on Google

  13. Definitely LED’s :joy: by the sounds of it… they are broken LED’s

  14. Check out. CHUSYYRAY. Part number 202107012111. 30w 6000k 3000LM.
Listed for your bike. 1299S. No idea of resistance etc but starting point for finding out. Pair of bulbs £25ish.
Hope that helps! Definitely, without doubt LEDs air cooled.:)

  15. Working on the fact that they're a diode, I'd expect very low resistance connected one way and almost infinite the other way round. If it's infinite both ways it's 'blown'...

  18. EBay under Ducati 1299s led bulbs. You will recognise your bulbs immediately
Gives you the company name address, google company, have a chat. No good at all this link stuff, unless it’s sausages:)
Looks like someone fitted the bulbs as an upgrade.
