I stopped having holidays once discovered trackdays. Sitting like an idiot on the beach or walking in the stupid mountains is a fucking waste of time. My other half hates me, but this is the way I'm. Either speed or nothing
Swimming climbing is so slow and boring. Plus everyone does it. Climbing especially, you like an idiot going up to some mountain in a shit weather carrying shit loads on you. Compare to an average Jerez: Get there by 9am Race 10 to 6 Make your bike shine for a next day, Go to hotel to have a beer, Go to a brothel to have a quicky, Go to Don Pepe to a have a nice steak, Rest until 9am next day
Climbing not my thing particularly. But if you are from Switzerland you have likely had enough of mountains by now Maybe try riding your bike to the Isle of Man for TT race week Michael Rutter (watch video of him thrashing a V4 Speciale around the TT course - epic)
There's a few weekends away somewhere in the UK, that's for my OH to sort We have Dubai and Mauritius in summer. US west coast around Sept/Oct but might start in Colorado and then head west. Brno booked for August. Probably one of the Christmas Markets would be nice this year, Vienna probably. I'd like to get a week away on the bike but I doubt I'll squeeze that in.
Just got negative Covid tests so off down to a Heathrow later, out to New Hampshire tomorrow for skiing for the week. YAY.
No need for test prior to entering France from today. Declaration and vac status only. I shall be away soon!
Haven’t been on holiday since 1998. Haven’t had a day of work since then either. Call me strange but it doesn’t really bother me. Luckily my wife is happy to go away with her mum and family.
It is AMAZING! It's between 28° and 30° in the day so constant. Staff are amazing. It is paradise. (Apart from no track)
