Fitted a new battery to the SS600. A FulBat gel which is actually slightly heavier than the Lucas one it is replacing. At least it is exactly the same size so fits in the case perfectly.
Took the Termingnoni cans and exhaust parts to Raw Wheels in York for Cerakoting satin black. Should look decent with the yellow bodywork.
Realised I'd put the spacers in the exhaust mounts in the wrong order and the cans would probably foul the swingarm so sorted that out and decided to warm the bike up https://photos.app.goo.gl/QLB2MDHBYP2LT7nn9
Decided earlier that I haven’t spent enough money, so have added some Rizoma parts to my upcoming orders.
Drove to Zumerzet to pick up some 1299 forks with K-Tech internals and a Rapid Bike Evo. Forks fitted this avo in minutes……. Rapid bike, hmm. Where the fluffy frickin el do you fit the main unit when you don’t have a fan housing to cable tie it too! And does it work without O2 sensors? The plug that should have one sensor plugged in is actually charging the Aim Solo 2. Twaz 50/50 googling / spannering this avo!
Had a ride, on the TDM, up to Rothwell to suss out where Ducati John's workshop is prior to the S2R going in for a service on Thursday. Might just miss the worst of the weather !!
Collected the R6 from a local independant following a clutch strip down and inspection (it's fine), new clutch cable, new Domino quick action throttle, new rear sets (slightly lower foot peg) and locating a snapped earth that had stopped the rev counter and speedo from working. Now I need to fettle the fairing. Andy
