Saw this TT IOM UK reg plate on a grey VW (?) van driving south down the A1M yesterday, near Pontefract - anyone on here ?? Cracking number, must be worth a small fortune !!
Work associate of mine got stung for mis spacing his reg number, was advised to not be caught again under risk of having his plate confiscated by DVLA.
I got followed by the po po and a week later got £100 fine though the door for my mis spaced number plate. Still not changed it
Unfortunately for my work colleague he had a new set on his passenger seat, but the Police still fined him for it. He was driving back from the motor factors, Police just said they were fining him for using the plates on the car not for the plates on the seat. We’re just about to buy a personal plate for my Daughter but want it to be used without mis spacing fir the reason below: https://www.primoregistrations.co.u...n-if-i-changed-the-spacing-on-my-number-plate
My mis-spaced plate which is the wrong size, with the wrong font, without the makers details on it has never brought me any issues. Presumably the police are aware of it as I've had a speeding fine whilst using it. Now I'm not saying I will never have a problem in the future. I am saying that a £100 fine for seven years use is 27p per week, or one bite of a Twix if bought at a Shell petrol station. I'm not worried.
Jim@ Slingshot used to have a TT plate, he sadly passed away some years ago now so maybe it was his and been sold.
The IOM has full domestic self-government, but the UK is responsible for its defence and external relations
Yes but still not part of the uk. https://www.gov.im/about-the-government/departments/cabinet-office/external-relations/constitution/
"but the isle of Man pays the UK for its defence and some external relations" TBH we should probably approach the EU to see if they will look after our defence and external relationships..
Russia is looking for options on a naval base closer to the Eastern seaboard of the US, you’d get the rent from the base and a lot of olrigarchs in tow too. You might be better returning to Norway for defence and diplomacy, at least whilst the Tories are in charge.
