Playlist at the moment is mostly going through the fall out boy albums and twentyone pilots albums at the moment
Been trying to complete my Rush vinyl collection so mostly that but also Crown Lands, Kris Barras and Florence Black
I have just bought a decent record player so slowly working through them. I took this pic the other day although Moving Pictures was hiding at the time
Not really listened to much Rush mostly been Spirit of Radio, seemed to be a very much fringe band back when I was much younger.
tgey are certainly an acquired taste. I used to hate them but then listened to albums like Moving Puctures, Signals and Power Windows and became a convert….
I only have two of those but big respect for the band, never seen them. just remembered why I never saw them, (for me only) great instrumentally, it's just when Geddy opens his mouth in Dalek-speak that I get put off.. I think he should have included "Exterminate!" in the lyrics somewhere, would have fitted a treat.
I may well try and find more time to explore their library. Too busy with your Genesis vibe, you have finished with posting their stuff haven’t you Chris?
Saw Gabriel at Glastonbury back in the mid 90’s I didn’t go to watch/listen to him specifically but blown away by the show he put on.
I realise i'm biased, but Mr G ought to re-record this I reckon, some short sections a bit stuffy/over-theatrical for MOR but could be shortened/doctored, not to mention slightly speeded-up:- (lovely content and solo by Toyah's bloke)
He certainly was. Him and Toyah lived down the road from me for years and my Mum and Dad worked for them so they quite often popped in. Now at Broadchalke near Salisbury
what a coincidence, might have even been sub-conscious as clocked that you were at Dorset yesterday. Seen him many times and got autograph around the peak while he was solo. Talked of meeting Andy Summers there at a record shop as also Dorset-way around '74. put this up on here many times:-
spooky. There is a video on you tube about him and Wimborne and he ends up in Square Records Wimborne….
