Car purchase options explanation wanted

  1. Just picked up a Passat 140bhp TDI estate. Tbh, after a couple hundred miles, given comfort and mpg if it was my money I'd probably be getting one f these. If the Merc is close to as good as this is I'll be happy

  2. Good car Passat. We had a lad leave last year and I took over his Passat CC for a couples of months until my new car arrived, It was a superb car, did a long trip down to Le Mans 4 up with luggage and it flew down with no drama, everyone that drove it, loved it.

When we pointed out to the woman at the Merc dealership that the lease agreement was WAY cheaper the only response she could come up with was "if you do it that way you don't get the mercedes customer service" - utter snobbery! And... having subsequently been on the recieveing end of their "service" when they almost wrecked our engine by massively over-filling it with oil, all I can say is "thank god for that !"

  7. Mercedes Customer service is absolutely atrocious, customer contempt more like. Their quality has gone down and their electrical record is an absolute nightmare- probably not far off fiat, just not as well publicised or stigmatised.

    You might want to send a nice email to customerservices@mbuk or a nice letter to Adam Chamberlain who is Mercedes UK sales director. I think he'd be very interested to hear that your dealership doesn't think that lease customers don't deserve the mercedes "customer service"

    The best merc ever built in the last fifteen years was built in Woking.

    Lease customer or not, the level of service is the same. should you write to MBUK, feel free to mention her name and the fact that on the back of that comment your business will NOT be placing its fleet car requirement with the mercedes brand.

  9. Also a little known factoid, when the dealership is Mercedes benz XYZ for example, its actually Merc themselves who own the dealership.

    If its Mercedes benz of XYZ then it's a franchise
