Hi, I just bought myself a 2021 hypermotard 950 rve I'm curious if anyone have any tips or tricks before I set off on longer and shorter trips with the bike. Is it possible to get a decent looking baggage rack for the bike, or is it best to just strap a bag on the passenger seat? What fuel consumption is realistic for the bike? Ducati says 0.6l/10km(39mpg?) but that's probly under perfect condition. Anything a fresh hypermotard owner needs to know about the bike? I've never ridden it before, so anything helps. I got termignoni slip on. Is it possible to remove a dB killer, or is the next step to get a de cat?
welcome, best of the colours IMO. I use Kriega US dry bags easy on easy off, anything else will look like you should have bought a Multistrada and destroy your street cred. https://kriega.com/sports/touring A slip on won’t need a remap, if you decat it will and get louder, guess it depends on how much noise you like. Enjoy
So I'm guessing there is no removable dB killer on the terms slip on I have on now? I have only seen the bike for about 5 min, so haven't really looked at it. I don't like how the racks look, but I was hoping there was something small I could install on the days I need some stuff with me. The plan is to take a 7 day trip to France this summer. Was hoping to get a fuel can on the passenger seat, instead of a bag. Might just bring a hose instead, and steal some gas from the guys I'm riding with, when needed.
They should be removable, they are on my Termi’s on my Monster, it just they’re loud with them out unpleasantly so. A rack system https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/164132129884?mkevt=1&mkcid=1&mkrid=710-53481-19255-0&campid=5338785333&toolid=10029&_trkparms=ispr=1&amdata=enc:1EFCyWLdhRxCbOmw__4bn0A60&customid=s:GS;gc:EAIaIQobChMIw-a44u-O9gIVBrDtCh0alwWwEAQYAiABEgLffPD_BwE Kriega do a bottle carrier but only 2x1 litre bottles. That seems a little extreme to strap a can to your bike but needs must I guess, I get over 150 miles from about the same amount of fuel from my KTM and that’s hooning around Wales. I don’t see why you’d drain your 14 litre tank before that touring unless you’re riding at 100 plus all the time.
That's a decent looking rack, for the longer trips. Won't show myself around town with them on tho. Hoping the snow will go away soon, so I can finally test the bike. Hopefully it meets my expectations. I got no idea how far away the gas stations are in the alphs, that's why I was thinking about a spare gas can. Of course I will do some research before leaving. Will probly get all the answer then. After a quick look, I can't see a db killer on my bike, and I've tried to research without luck. Thanks
