So what have you done today..?

  1. Looks like a similar set up to the Magic Rock brewery in Huddersfield, only a tad more industrial.

Well today looks to be another day watching Homeland (I’m on season 5 now) as it’s still lashing down, and has been for well over 24 hours now.

  2. How cool is that place :grinning:

  3. I bet that Bayliss has become a stroppy child climbing the walls by now.

  4. It’s owner has! ;)

That said, when I got the old V2 back in 2020 it rained solidly from the day it was delivered (26th Feb) through to the 23rd March when I finally got to ride it.

And when I got home that evening BloJob put the country into lockdown so I didn’t ride it again until 31st May when some restrictions were lifted.

  5. I'll have the prayer mat out this week and hopefully we can all get riding again in dry weather for march time.

  6. The only plus point is that all this rain will have got rid of the salt on the roads :upyeah:

  7. Bejus looks like the posts weren’t cemented in, saturated soil and strong winds not a good combo.

  8. Exactly as water and tissue paper just don't mix.

  9. I erected that fence when we renovated the house 23 years ago, she’s done very well and t’was sad to see her go. Now it’s a rental it’s having concrete posts, concrete gravel rails and timber in fill panels

  10. It’s done well then, I always cement posts in. My Mrs had a wooden fence put up just before we met concreted in it didn’t last 10 years, put new posts in as the fence panels are still sound. Got a concrete and wood combination on the other side as we can’t see it as it’s other side of garage.

Those concrete posts and boards ain’t light, the lad and I put them up but wait a maul I don’t envy fencers.

My neighbour look after the fence at my rental as he wanted a fence up and I wasn’t bothered, he paid for that and for the shared driveway to be block paved. Which was very generous of him I must say.:)

  11. Been keeping an eye on the local roads around here. A lot are flooded.

The road in/out of our estate is flooded, and given it’s forecast to rain all through the night it doesn’t look like I’ll be able to get my car in for its service tomorrow morning.

On the plus side I’ve finally arranged to go back to seeing my old personal trainer who I’ve not trained with since March 2020. :)

  14. We used to love skiing in New Hampshire, Fabian’s Express at Breton Woods was my wife’s favourite run.
Not been back to North Conway for about 10 years.
    Have a great time

  15. The bike related activity related to this is so small it appears to be invisible…

  16. I read the wrong post, thought it was just what you’ve done today. I haven’t even seen a bike this week so not even a tenuous link!

  18. Thanks, North Conway is rammed now. There’s isn’t enough restaurants to cope, end up having to queue for a table which is upwards of 30 minutes to over an hour. This seems to be every restaurant.

  19. FTFY, apparently anti inflammatory tablets help or so my old snowboard buds would say as the only exercise they ever did was a week of boarding. :)

Now you’ve rekindled in my head the smell of deep heat over breakfast.:(

Enjoy what’s left of your holiday.

  20. Posts moved to the right thread :)
