Streetfighter V2

  1. That’s handy about the bar ends. I’m also keen to know if the whole handlebars are the same as the V4 as I want to get the Evotech handlebar satnav mount, but they only list it for the V4, and not the V2 yet.

  2. When I got my Panigale V2 home (same seat cowl part number) it was just the cowl, and they had just removed the pegs, they just left holes where the rear peg mounts were, so I put some black short cap screws in there to stop the threads gunking up

  3. Not sure how similar the new SF V2 exhaust is to the Panigale V2 - does Panigale need a hanger if pegs removed?

  4. No

  5. For anyone interested in the Rizoma bar end mirror option, Rizoma have confirmed the mounting kit is LP200B. (same as V4) Apparently their website will be updated shortly to accommodate the V2.

  6. Regarding the Evotech pillion peg removal plate for the V2 - I was confused because I thought that it was an exhaust hanger - I now realise it's not, and it's some sort of spacer (I think?). Sorry about that.

  7. If the cowl doesn’t include any sort of blanking kit, I’ll probably just plug the holes with some bolts.

  16. End March / early April for mine - which is fine as I want salt off roads before I take it out.

  17. Unless we get more snow and ice over the next couple of weeks then I’d consider it all gone by now with the rain we’ve had this past week

  18. Sorted out some insurance today.

Tried Ducati first - £728.10 with £600 excess. Legal cover included + protected no claims. I felt they were quite cheeky because they wanted a deposit to secure that price if I didn't take it out there and then. Also note that Ducati are actually Bikesure.

Bemoto. £461. £600 excess but by mentioning 44Teeth this gave me a £500 excess rebate in the event of a claim. Protected no claims.
Includes RAC cover for UK and EU
    £1500 Helmet and leathers
Also included in the Panigale prize draw.

Went with Bemoto. Too lazy to keep ringing and the price was about what I was expecting. Bemoto based the price on a normal V2.

  19. Thanks for sharing @Jimmy the hat

Bit steeper than I was hoping. If they are using a 'normal V2' (presumably a Panigale V2), then a sports bike would normally be significantly more than the equivalent naked, in my experience.

I'll be ringing Bemoto when mine arrives, and I'll post up, I'm a fair bit older but otherwise similar.

  20. Me too. I also spent 2.5 hours on the phone.

Ducati went to the underwriters, Bemoto used a proxy code for the V2. I didn't quite catch what he was saying. Hopefully yours will be less. I agree typically nakeds are less than a sportsbike. Next year should be better.
