Hello everyone, there is a new recall for the ducati multistrada V4, the CR226, it is about the exhaust heat shield, and the screws on one side, which turns yellow and the screws are lost because it does not have a fixing cream. and on the other hand it is the central stand that comes out of its housing, do you know anything out there about this?, I put the photos that I have been able to look for, I do not know if it will be true or not
Well done for the heads-up for the V4 owners... I think the term you mean is either thread lock or anti-seize paste. Possibly the way it translates from your own language. Thanks again...
You had to listen to how your compatriots ask for beers in my pub in Benidorm, then you would laugh more. Anyway, my intention was just to let you know, the next time, since I don't know how to write well in your language, you'll find out when it breaks Kind regards from Spain
Thanks appreciate your post as will check out my bike . It’s helpful when posters put up things for us to find out . Cheers
Not sure being a beta tester going into a high speed bend with bits falling off into the path of my rear wheel excites me enormously. I guess you have to expect that though when it’s such a cheap bike.
The rush to get them to market is enormous so no surprise some bits may not be fully ok. Just a guess.
Just checked mine and centre stand bolts and bushes look fine, no play and bolts are tight, the heat shield screws are also tight. The only part that has gone AWOL so far was the LH reflector on the front mudguard, replacement supplied under warranty. It is in for the software update and oil change in a weeks time so will see what else there is in terms of checks as well.
I just had the Connect update at Leeds Ducati and they mentioned they would call me in for the recall update once they have the required heat shield and replacement parts delivered. The other part of the recall is the Connect software update.
ok, thank you very much, I would be grateful if you could attach a photo when they put the pieces on you
Just had this recall done - New heatshield, holes are angled differently to give greater clearance to the swing arm, apparently the original shield could move a little and touch the / scratch the swing arm . Both centre stand bolts and fixings replaced; the fixing pushes into the frame and could come loose apparently, mine didn't, but new bolts and fixings fitted.
Didn’t the old 1200 Multistrada have centre stand issues? Makes you wonder how many real road test miles they bother to do
