Still planning to get to Portimao for the MotoGP but I have no idea where the best place is to sit. Anyone been to see racing there before ? Thanks, Andy
I walked the track last year. Outside of entry to final turn looked good. You can see them coming out of 13/14, round final turn, then off down the straight.
I was going to say avoid that stand after 1/2 of Toprak's bike ended up in their after his crash last year, the only decent thing that came out of covid was no one was in the stands to get hit bit a front wheel and fork leg. Saying that it probably is one of the better places to watch of possibly between turns 1 and 3, I haven't spectated there but done plenty of laps.
Sadly overtaken by events. At the beginning of the week, the race at Portimao was still showing as TBC and tickets had not released for sale. Checked the price of flights just in case and at £400 each, one way, on the day we were going to travel, made the decision to cancel the hotel As our August Germany trip has been delayed were are now going to Silverstone and we might just squeeze in Barcelona instead.
