  4. Used them a few times, always an enjoyable experience, but have to admit some of the prices make me wince...

  5. A visit to the shop is a pleasant experience, but as you say the shelf prices there are high.
But if you play their game Motolegends are the cheapest retailers in the UK.

  6. The only stockist near us that offered to alter a pair of single layer motorcycle jeans free of charge. I also understand they don't charge for fitting a new helmet. We'er probably going up next weekend to look at gloves. Andy

  7. The experience is good. And that costs. Personally I like them. Not every visit results in a purchase Mainly because I am an odd shape/size/age/untrendy/tight but just occasionally they come up trumps... last purchase was a pair of boots and the price was pretty much aligned to everyone else. As they say "you pays your money and you make your choice..."

  8. Not sure the cycling mob shop there. ;)

  9. I like them. Not only will they match any price, but they’ll then knock a further 10% off, making them the cheapest around. They even used to match prices from the likes of FC Moto, but those days are gone though, sadly. Plus their free alteration service is an additional bonus.

  10. My thoughts exactly. Use their price match and get a good deal, plus very good service. I’ve never visited the shop so couldn’t comment on that though.

  11. Only done a couple of online purchases but impressive service/ returns policy

  12. Have used their price match retrospectively and they still honoured it. Have visited the showroom on a couple of occasions and it's been a pleasurable experince. They will take their time to ensure that you leave without feeling rushed into a purchase decision. Also used them for mail order and then their incorrect size exchange, all good. Will happily use them again in the future.

Granted their prices are generally high though this is, IMHO, down to the fact that they only carry quality kit rather than the pile 'em high, sell 'em cheap retailers. Of course a significant proportion of what they sell is at aimed at the hipster market and isn't really of interest to me.

  13. very interesting views... well i have bought a few things from them during sales etc and using their price match and would certainly use again but not sure i would be bothered about going into the shop and if were next to sportsbikeshop etc i know which one i would go into. feels to me like they appeal to a broad range of folks even though they might be thinking of a particular profile when marketing their wares and the shop/events etc

  14. Agree with most of the comments here, when we lived down that way I used to enjoy popping in for a mooch and bought a few items.

I’d say their service and attention to client satisfaction, espressos too, are the best in the business. However, as I mainly ride sports bikes I agree their not really targeting me/us. More the beardy brigade on trendy cafe racers and perhaps GS riders.

  15. You forgot to mention their homemade biscuits. :upyeah::upyeah::upyeah:

I agree some of their stuff isn’t up my street either, but neither is some of M&P’s stuff.

  16. Homemade biscuits you say? I’ve never seen those. Might have to pop back again!

  17. Didn't see those either... maybe you need to be a declared high net worth individual...

  18. That defo rules me out then that's for certain.
If they knew my net worth they wouldn’t bother to unlock the door : unamused:

  19. Motolegends have been around for quite a while, they know what sells and stock what sells. Financial ruin and disaster is the end result if you end up with stock stagnant in the store room. I think they know their market pretty well. And the biscuits and coffee are really good quality :D Andy

  20. I’ve bought several things when visiting them which was always an unrushed pleasant experience, and have returned items bought online too, very painless, and great biscuits
