Still doesn't explain why the bigger NI Road races and the Isle of Man can pay English riders travel expenses, start money and have some left over for prize money but BSB is all take and no give.
It’s the way they all suck up to Palmer that’s repulsive. Like ‘he’s a true saviour and doing is a favour’
Yep, and finding someone who’s got the money and willing to put it in to motorsport like palmer is rare. Because as everyone knows, it’s not an easy way to make money. There’s far easier. Motorsport doesn’t make business sense.
Yeah, the posts about just giving BBC the option to air it cheaply etc, this all assumes they want to, they have a TV Schedule, they know full well that actually BBC audiences are dwindling and frankly they have bigger fish to fry at the moment trying to keep the wolf from the door (Wolf = Digital Content providers). BSB could gain some popularity for international sponsors as it starts to air in US etc, but unlikely to be significant, less so even than having a us rider come over.
They certainly check wsbk, Mr Birds kawasaki WSBK lorry got searched and had a load of cocaine in it, the driver took the blame, a year later birdy was banned from rallying for testing positive for coke, hmm...
And those prices are plus VAT... No 180 rears this year either, everyone is on the much disliked 190's that last about half as long as a 180 somehow
I have to say I never saw JP as a philanthropist pouring money into motorsports, more a businessman very good at squeezing every last penny from enthusiasts.
Two separate 12 year sentences, then walked into the £50k corbeau job straight out of pokey. Wonder if he's keeping his nose clean now...
Not sure on the ins and outs but it’s not what you know is it. He’s a co-owner of corbeau. He wasn’t exactly skint in the first place either
