Well fitting was going well. had to loosen the bolt on the cat to slip a clamp over and snapped the bolt…. now trying to drill it out. Anyone know if the nut is welded to the exhaust - it certainly doesn’t seem to move
I don’t have anything to heat it with…. but I do now have a set of cobalt drill bits which will hopefully sort it out…
Not test ridden as yet but seems ok. Pannier hanger slightly touches the exhaust guard possibly so might need a small adjustment….
I don’t think sound files ever give any idea of the true sound unless recorded using a good microphone and played back on a decent speaker rather than a tinny phone speaker.
probably right. This was just a quick video and lots of white smoke aswell which apparently happens fir up to 100km
20 miles in the freezing cold and it is definitely a slightly deeper sound but not by much….. Looks beautiful and on acceleration with the air box noise too it’s great. Maybe I should have not jumped in quite so quick and stuck with standard pipe until I had done a few more miles. Sadly I always leap first
Having got my "buy it now clicking finger" ready, just remembered the obvious that I need to remember my V2S warranty would be invalidated if I got the Akra option. And not sure I'm ready to lay out £1100 for the Ducati Termi option.
I was very surprised when I read this post saying the sound is only slightly deeper, then I remembered seeing you number plate and realised your bike is 2017. That means it has a Euro 4 exhaust system, mine is a 2021 so it has Euro 5, and that’s the reason it made such a big difference to the sound on my bike. It certainly does look good though!
