MX5 drivers are not all hairdressers. You cruel chap. Some are discerning sports car drivers. One or two may well do a little cash in hand work on the weekend but have quite respectable employment during the normal working week. My gardener, handyman and butler drive MX5s but in fairness I never let them park on the driveway, standards are important. Very well turned out with short back and sides…. Hmmm see what you mean
I never comment on Lady Gartree’s choice of dress. However her suit is looking rather shabby. I shall ask her maid to make an appointment forthwith.
It will be good to see some pictures from all of this - some strange reason I actually like looking at holiday pictures (mostly !) The overnight ferry to Portsmouth was cancelled this weekend due to the gale force winds - should have been over to see my Mum on the Isle of Wight now. Anyway, got a credit note from the ferry so will book it again for next month. Take the bike.
You’re lucky to get a credit note! We were going to spend a few days on the I-o-W in 2020 till lockdown was imposed (the second time round). They offered us a partial refund of 82p on a ticket of £90. I told the robbing b@stards to shove it and I’d never use them. Ever!
Costa de la Luz (about 30KM south of Cadiz) for Mar and Apr. Trying to find somewhere to live over there. If we do we'll buy and move over there, if not back over to inland Malaga province for Nov-Feb.
Weather permitting off to Provence for a month or so week tomorrow. Not been to the house since September. I’ll be back!
Haemorrhaging money at the moment on redecorating the bedroom (plastering, furniture, carpet etc) and another purchase that I’m just glad my passports expired
I got a voucher so not like cash - just a code to use on the next booking. I went in 2020 as well straight after some kind of Tier system lockdown in July - really sunny and hot. It was packed out - all the tickets sold, never seen it like that before. Maybe have another go at it ? especially if they get that new road race going.
Sounds good. Hope the house is all right. Hmmm - there is the Bol d'Or at the Circuit Paul Ricard 16-18 September 2022 in that part of the world
It is cheaper with a bike. My sister leaves her car in Lymington and uses my Mum's car on the Island, because it is expensive to take the car across. The bike is alright and the little ferry trundles along from Lymington - lovely little trip through the New Forest passing the the Ferrari dealership in the little village of Lyndhurst. Lovely little trip.
Found a bloke riding round Grenada on a stretched swingarm GSXR1000, with roads more suited to a 250 supermoto!! Only big bike I saw. Got an invite from him to a drag race evening at the old airfield runway but was too stoned to get there that evening... Shame, as it's that sort of street sub-culture that I love to experience when away... Nice place
