Is it as simple as any gps with the right connection and plug in? I have a old GPT race chrono with separate gps module and wondering if I can just change the connector and plug in and it will work to then help gpsnlaptimer rather than use the flash button. Any ideas?
Might be more hassle than it’s worth mate. The Ducati Dda jobby is good enough. Pick mine up for less then £200.
Guess it’s all about timing. Not too bothered about downloading stuff tbh more lap times easily recorded and thought some of the other stuff may be enhanced with gps
Not sure about that specific module you mention, but before I got my ducati GPS I looked at a PZ Racing one which does exactly as you mentioned, just plugs in and automatically records the lap times on the dash instead of the light flash, so seems like a ducati specific one isn't required. http://www.ukroadandrace.co.uk/epag...22068/Products/"PA500+DUCATI+PZ"&Locale=en_GB
Yes have this on my eBay watch list. I have a simple gps plug in for the gpt unit that’s similar but different connector hence wondering if I could reuse what I have rather than spend more cash
I'm not sure if all GPS receivers output the same signal format, but if they do it should work! Plug it in give it a try?! Don't blow anything up though!
Lol that’s my fear. Tbh I touch anything and it tends to blow up…had two functioning headlights until I touched them…
Haha maybe lay off butchering the GPS wires until some electrical pros confirm how to do it properly!!
