Not many can say that they have a Ducati that has been used by Troy Bayliss himself. This is not a Bayliss copy, but the real deal. A unique Ducati with a unique history. Am so glad I got the opportunity to buy this one
Not so many ”new ones” in here so I will trough mine into the mix. I know it isn’t liked of everybody but I love it so far. Fantastic bike. I have had a few older Monsters but this is by far MY favourite. Sooo light and agile. Perfect motor and with the full Termignoni system it is sooo sweat to ride!!!!
Good to hear. I've pulled the pin on one of these (same spec, graphics included but in red), being delivered next month. Of all things I traded in a 2018 Panigale V4! While not my intention to downsize, I wanted to have something to tide me over while I wait for the 2022 Panigale and after a test ride I fell in love. So either I won't bother with the Panigale for a while or I'll end up with two bikes in the stable
It is always x+1 when it comes to bikes…I totally understand you. I had a V2 before and I have so much more fun on this one. But, as mentioned before, one can always justify another bike. Congratulations on your coming red one, good choice.
Good to hear of another new owner on here I'm sure if the 'frameless' haters had a test ride, they too would find it a brilliant fun Monster. Mine at the dealers and has now been cleaned and a minor tail chop done.
I do prefer the trellis frame, its a shame Ducati have gone away from the trellis but i suppose its called progress, How you finding it, thats if you have found a good day to go out between the salt and the rain.
I know what you mean re trellis frame. My ‘97 900ss is a beauty! I’ve been out on a couple of rides between salt, rain and the cold. Ive found it very sure footed and holds a line through the corners very well, especially under load. Pick up and acceleration are as expected from 1200cc nearly 150bhp and 100lb ft of torque, pick your spot and go for it! Sounds wonderful with the Termi’s fitted. Looking forward to some warm weather!
Yep still got the 900ss although I’m not sure I need two bikes , so I might put it up for sale at some point. We’ll see , the warmer weather will make a whole lot of difference.
Come on Carr01, none of us 'Need' more than one bike, we could all find a bike that does everything we need one to do, and a Monster is a great example of an all round bike. But, there is a massive difference between 'Need' and 'Want'. So shake yourself off and stop having such grown up thoughts. It will effect your ability to perform Man-Maths to an effective enough standard to use the third word in the trilogy - Justify.
I am glad that there are people ready to nudge you back on track when you have one of those occasional wobbles from the chosen path
Looks good but with those discs and master cylinder you really need to upgrade the brake calipers too.
