  1. Nearly, just waiting for a quote.

  2. I should get the allocated reg today, so I can then sort insurance - will let you all know my premium.

Good work on getting yours run in, hope it's everything you hoped for.

    * haha, just realised this question wasn't to me, but I've answered anyway ;)

  3. So far, Ducati insurance have been the only company with it on their system. All the others need to refer the bike to the “underwriters” which is insurance code for pants down.

  4. I am interested in how you get on with insurance so no problem. Hope the search goes well!

  5. Any excuse they can get, eh?

Did the fact it is on the Ducati Insurance system actually help the premium?

  6. I’m not sure yet, as they are coming back to me with a quote today hopefully. There’s a few bikes on there, so they need to get costs on each.

  7. I just saw you're also getting a V4 Multi - very nice!

  8. Ok, so I spoke to Ducati insurance today, and the premium was frankly ludicrous. It was only when they said the V2 had an 11** engine, I realized they were trying to quote on the V4. So, back to square one. Why is this bike not on ANY insurance databases yet?

  9. ugh. You would think the industry would have this sorted in 2022, wouldn't you?

  10. DP? Excuse my ignorance, are you talking about the OEM replacement indicators or something different? I've found a part number on the Aussie Ducati website, but the number doesn't register with our shops here in NZ.

  11. You’d hope, but alas not. I’ve just gone into a comparison site again this morning, and it’s still not on there.

  12. Best we make that clear before someone Googles it from work :astonished:;)

  13. Yeah that's the part number I had. Think I just spoke to the wrong guy at the shop. Sorted now!

  14. Paging @Jimmy the hat, please, as I know you have a seat cowl fitted to your bike.

To help with insurance quotes, I'd like to use a Monimoto tracker. For my 959, with the rear seat cowl, there was a perfect little storage area that I could use for the Monimoto device - which is about the size of a lady's self-pleasuring device (and similarly battery-operated).

I see the seat cowl for the Streetfighter V2 is single piece (unlike the 959). Is there a small storage area within there, perhaps accessed via the rear (literally) section of the seat? If not, is there storage anywhere on a SF V2?

    Thanks.

  15. As I said before but possibly in other threads, I used Ducati insurance when I got the Panigale V2 in Feb 2020, I was one of the first but I had BikeTrac fitted on it as it was a promotion at the time. This helped, but ironically the underwriter was actually just the same underwriter that I'd used on other bikes.

  16. Cheers. Same underwriter, lower quote?

  17. no, it was the same quotes, I think I paid £400 fully comp first year with Bike Trac installed, 35 years old, 9 years NCD, Clean license. Some of the quotes people have put on here are eye watering

  18. I got my first insurance quote today, ballpark as I don't have the reg' but all other details accurate.

    Village in Suffolk
    Locked Garage
< 3000 miles social, domestic & pleasure only
    9+ years NCD
    Clean licence
    No pillion

Ducati Insurance (underwritten by Trinity something) quoted me £366 with 550 excess, which seems quite reasonable.

I tried Bemoto, waited about 30 mins in queue, had to give up. I tried again just now, but found they close at 6pm.

When looking online, I filled in the forms in case the SF V2 was now listed, but they don't even list the SF V4, so fat chance they'll be adding V2 any time soon!

  19. I actually have no idea how much the V2 is to insure with Ducati insurance, as they’re very good at putting up smoke and mirrors. One minute it’s £3** then I add a tail tidy and rad guards, and it goes up £50.

Personal business use then triples the premium, whereas Bemoto increase the premium by about £40 for that.

As there will be a few bikes on the policy, they can’t give me an accurate cost per bike. Plus they never call back or email when they say they will. Goodness knows what they’d ever be like in the event of a claim.
