  6. We bought one from Lidl 2 years ago. Bloody brilliant. We use it 3-4 times a week to cook/heat all sorts of stuff.

The trick is not to put it in a cupboard otherwise you’ll never use it again!

  7. Nice run to the coast on the gixxer to blow the cobwebs off her. Had a lovely day and tasty fish and chips too. Bliss. Got home and give her a wash to say thanks haha!

  10. I did the same with my mum and sorted a battery mower rather than trying to start a tempremental petrol one.
She can cope with a battery charger.

  12. Today I went to the optician for my annual check up. Aside from needing reading glasses, apparently my long range sight is better than 20/20 (which I didn’t know you could have but apparently you can).

Anyway that’s the second year on the trot I’ve not needed new reading glasses. :)

Tomorrow I’ve got to go to Pudsey for work on my jawbone/implant:eek:

  13. Put the bins out, both grey and green and bottle bucket and that's about it apart from a half arsed attempt at vacuuming. The weather has been awful all day. Andy

  15. I can’t resist but tell you the story of my return from the funeral in the south of France.

It’s a great shame to lose someone but it’s better that they don’t continue suffering. She had a good life and although it was a sad day it was a lovely reunion, with of course great food, wine and conversation.

On a more cheery note, I genuinely had a lucky escape on the flight back. Both that and the funeral were lessons that we must now and always live life well and to the full every day.

Being on my own and a being a tight wad I opted for free random seat allocation. I was allocated a middle seat near the rear. Weirdly I had a sense of foreboding about this.

A guy arrived and took the window seat, no problem. However there were three empty seats opposite and they were closing the doors, so I moved without asking. I knew if I asked I’d have to stay put until after takeoff etc.etc. It was just as well I moved because, sure enough, the biggest black girl arrived and took the isle seat right next to my allocated seat! I thought the lights had dimmed but no, it was like a localised eclipse.

I didn’t mind what colour she was, in fact her skin was positively glowing and she genuinely looked radiant but she was E-NOR-MOUS! Don’t call me fattest though, because she was definitely fattest!

I’m surprised she got through the cabin door, maybe she was loaded by fork lift with the luggage, I didn’t see.

When she lifted the arm between the seats to sit down, I knew if I was still in the middle seat I would definitely have suffocated and it would be my funeral.

Once installed I looked across and never mind a bicycle, I could have parked the front wheel of my Multistrada in her ample cleavage and it definitely wouldn’t have fallen over! No need for a rear paddock stand.

Please post me a snorkel in case it happens again and I can’t change seats.
