Panigale V4 Base Model Suspension Question

Discussion in 'Suspension help' started by Kemoz17, Mar 17, 2022.

  1. Hi guys.. just picked my 1st ducati panigale v4 22 model

suspension is abit all over the place its the base model has bpf showa forks and the standard rear shock. Has anybody got any suspension settings to start from? Ive come over from the yamaha r1 2cr track bike and ive set suspension up before but im finding the front end very weird lets say?

any advise? Im sure the showa forks are the same as previous models

    thanks in advance

  2. First thing I’d do would be to wind out (and count) everything and Write it down.

Then reference the turns / clicks against what’s standard in the handbook.

If it’s different, go back to stock and ride it and see how it feels.

    Then go from there

  3. As above, don't assume it's on stock settings even though it's a brand new bike. Go back to basics first.

  4. Thanks for the info did check against standard settings last night in handbook and to what ive adjusted it to and ive got it near enough the same as handbook so next ride should be better. The front was just bouncing through the stroke

  5. When you say bouncing, do you mean over bumps or is the front popping up swiftly/in an uncontrolled manner when you come off the anchors??

what adjustment does the stock forks have? That should be a simple fix

  6. As in i have no feeling at the front at first and when i was compressing front end rebound was too soft so was going into the 2nd/3rd stroke lets say if that makes sense but after playing around with it abit felt alot better. As i said the settings are near another like the handbook now so next ride i should be able to feel the difference. Also got a few trackdays booked in was getting worried lol
