For road use, it made more sense for me to buy a 1299S already fitted with the Ohlins suspension, and forged wheels.
That sticker tax is outrageous I tell ya! I'm going down the Ohlins/STM.Akra route as we speak and its about a 12k US cherry on the top to join the Corse club!

Appreciate the offer but anything that requires shipping worldwide is a right pain.. I am just about done with importing / exporting anything at the moment. Knowing me, I will probably own the 1299 a year and sell it on
Copy, sometimes you can get a logistics deal but it seems hit and miss. I guess its a paperweight now!
