Test drove one of those PHEV types yesterday as the wife keeps banging on about saving the planet or some such made up shite Anyways was quite impressed with the performance
I was meant to be going for a ride with @bettes but I had a crap nights sleep and didn’t feel up to it. I managed to get back to sleep and get a couple of hours, waking up at 10.45am. SWMBO took advantage of the situation and had me moving slate chippings from the back garden path to the front garden borders to try and stop cats digging, pissing and shitting in the borders during the night. Just finished 30 mins ago. I'm bolloxed again and even got a blister on my hands despite wearing gloves! There’s still more to move but that’s for another day. I’m now going for a shower. I’m hoping to feel human again after that
Ignore the performance. Then make a decision. And tell your wife that PHEV’s absolutely DO NOT save the planet.
She sees it as an alternative which is increasingly being funded to look into different fuel sources such as wind turbines, sea stuff, and the like, to create the electricity for charging, and not good old dinosaur juice! Being a tart I like fast and a red leather interior! silence is quite nice too. I’ll pass on your comments.
Just ordered more weed control membrane and staples. I can collect them in the morning so hopefully we can finish the transfer of the slate chips from the back garden to front garden border tomorrow.
Seems like a few of us blew the cobwebs off today. Although I’ve been riding all winter, it’s mostly been on the monkey bike, so the Multi felt huge for the first few miles!
Last week it was Marseille for 2 days, this week Malaga for 1 day but at least it’s happier circumstances. Mrs 1199 and myself were due to go to Spain for a month but the house renovation isn’t finished so we had to delay for a couple of weeks. Get this though, 4 weeks car hire £370. Two weeks car hire £1000+ !!!! Stuff that. So I’m off there to pick up the car, park it for two weeks and fly back tomorrow. Nonsense but it’s cheaper to fly back Ryanair than pay the extra. Al least I still get BA on the way out. Got to get this house finished, nearly there, carpets on Saturday.
Spent another 5 hours moving slate chippings from the back garden to the front. But I’ve probably still got another 8 hours to do We’ve also had the stone block setts, sand and cement delivered so we can re-do the path in a couple of weeks. Shit just got real
That’s the kind of shit I’ve been dealing with over the last 3 years on the house renovation. And dust, shit and dust, loads of it.
