Hi all, I'm Stevokickstart and new to: 1) having a full license (2 weeks and 1 day) 2) having a new bike (2 weeks) 3) this forum I have a new V2S Travel and I've done ~400 miles so far I LOVE IT! Hope to swap some MS stories with you all; as I'm new to all this, I'll take all the advice that I can I live nr Horsham in case there are any friendly Ducati owners nearby Stevo
Thanks; my MOD 2 was in torrential rain.... I thought I was doomed from the start, but I passed so all good!!
Welcome to the group. I've also got the V2s with travel pack & I've done 700 miles! Just had the first service/oil service so now it's time to ride it and have fun.
Thank you, I sat on one at the London bike show after Suzuki 1000 tourer and the Yamaha Tracer GT; the MS struck a chord with me!
WARNING- this may bore some people, I just thought I'd give a bit of feedback MS V2S Travel (Bought from new March-22) So, 3000 miles in and just back from a 800 miler over a long weekend to mid-Wales and back (West Sussex) with 4 mates (2x KTM's, MT09 GT & a GS) Comments: Very happy with the bike The noticeable low end/ low speed ~28 mph lumpiness in 3rd got better after the first service It revs so well and comes alive after 6000 rpm I'm getting ~60 mpg (I'm not trying on getting as high as I can, this is through mixed riding) On my Wales trip, the temps were up to 36 C on the roads; I felt the heat from the engine, but not too bad actually I've not ridden it in the wet yet! (its becoming a bit of an obsession, so this Summer has been good for me!) The back brake is fairly weak (this may be normal as this is my first bike; and I'm used to mountain bike brakes!) I do still get throttle hand cramps on a long ride On the recent Wales trip, I found the seat extremely uncomfortable (I hope I get used to it more as it could spoil my experiences on the bike) If it doesn't get better, I may look to swap bikes It is still spotless (which is so different to my car! which I don't clean very often) I've not seen another V2 on the roads since March, are they still scarce all over the country? The ONLY drawback for me is the uncomfortable seat; it could force me to change bikes..... I hope someone found this useful cheers Stevo
Keep an eye out for a Touratech riders seat for the 1200/1260, as it’ll fit your bike, and will TRANSFORM the comfort. They come up for sale on here occasionally, but you’ll have to be quick.
