  2. Last night SWMBO and I went to see the Stereophonics in Leeds. They were supported by KT Tunstall. Fantastic gig! Loved it.

This morning I spent another 2 hours shovelling slate chippings from the back garden to the front (to put in a 1 ton builders bag for storage purposes). I reckon I’ve still another 4 hours shovelling to do……….hopefully some of the neighbours will take it off our hands otherwise we’ll have about 2 ton of stuff we have no use for.

This afternoon I’ve just been to see my PT. I’m now officially bolloxed. :(

  6. Got tickets to see them on Sunday, I think this will be the 6th or 7th time now.

laid a laminate floor in the lounge 18mths ago and at some point during the process one of the joins wasn’t quite tight enough, and was left with a gap, doubt anyone would notice but I knew it was there and it’s been bugging me so today I took the skirting boards off, partially lifted and relaid the floor.

Then went out on the new bike round to my dads, I know he’d rather I didn’t ride bikes but likes seeing them when I get a new one.

  11. We’re off to York this evening to see our 9yo granddaughter in a stage production of some description. I’ve no idea what other than it’s singing and dancing and stuff.

    A few things I’d say about it…….

    1. I’ve no idea why it’s being held in York as the kids are all from Leeds area.
    2. It’ll be mediocre at best but…..
    3. You have to do these things as a grandparent despite how shit it’ll be.
    4. The tickets cost a bleeding fortune for what it is (£23 a piece) and the costs for the evening will be further enhanced as we have to meet #2 son, wife and grandson for a pizza and drinks which granddad and grandma will have to foot the bill for.

    :)

  14. Started assembling bedroom furniture only to find the wardrobe back panels are too big and some of the drawer fronts are broken  came from Germany so 4+ week wait for replacement parts, been camping in the lounge for nearly 2 months now, can’t get the carpet fitted until the wardrobes are up so might be modifying it to fit tomorrow, for now I need a large glass of red!

  19. Well I hope that’s the last “performance” we have to go to. It’s 3 hours of my life I’ll never get back, that’s for sure…..it wasn’t a play/musical as such but just a lot of song and dance medleys from lots of (IMO) obscure musicals to showcase what these 4yo to 17yo kids had been taught. And some kids were good, and some were crap, but mostly crap.

AND it went on far too long and both SWMBO and I were losing the will to live towards the end.

Pizza and beer before the show was good though :upyeah:

  20. Haha, sounds like an amdram play we went to see a few weeks ago, with the husband of one of my wife’s friends playing the lead role. To this day I have absolutely no idea what any of it was about. Everyone else seemed to enjoy it, I just made sure I nodded and agreed at the right places.
