There was nothing at the showground today like that, so maybe from the forum or ebay or carandclassic. If i do find anything i'll shout from the rooftops.
Been feeling a little bit shivery for the last hour, so thought i should do a test and its bloody positive
My dad went on an old Norton of some sort. I think he was on the Norton owners club stand. He said it was a lovely sunny day, had to ride through rain and thick fog there and back but lovely at the showground.
Spent some time clearing up winter debris in the garden & yard - daffodils & tulips blooming daily so spring has certainly sprung again at last! Which also meant it was time to brush bleach and water on the tarmac to kill all the moss and render its seeds dead too. Put a few hours into hand sanding the fork lowers for ye olde V4. They were a little battle scarred from the last 20+ years, but they're almost prepped now. New stanchions arrive this week along with bushes, seals, circlips & oil etc. so I will be learning to rebuild the front suspension - a job I've never done it before. Any tips or pitfalls to avoid -please let me know!
Had a 230 mile round trip to Skeggy for a full english & mug of tea. Very nice it was too! The ride there was cold, my dash was showing 1 degree temp for a while, glad I wore my new heated gloves !!
I was hoping to spend a few days watching Netflix and looking on eBay but now Mrs Roadtrip has it so she will hold the remote
A little bit more cleaning up after storm Eunice today, keep chipping away and i'll get there one day this year.
I don't......that's the problem and i'm slowing down with age as well, which's out of order in my opinion.
This morning I spent a couple of hours cleaning the house, whilst SWMBO baked, as this afternoon we had a neighbour coming round with her 4 month old baby for coffee and cake. Tomorrow my brother in law and his wife are coming over for the day. I think SWMBO needs some gardening help from her sister in law. I don’t ask otherwise I’ll get roped in to do it
Finally got the Wee One's KX 65 back together today, sans wheel. Still looks the dogs though, like new almost. Will it start? Will it fuck! AghHHHHHHHHHHHH! I've spent a small fortune on the fecker and it won't start. Daddy is not amused. I did a comp test and its only holding about 75 psi. Went back to basic principals; spark, fuel, oil, water good. Rechecked my torkings, still nothing. I am lost for ideas... I feel it may need a new head to go with the new barrel (£360!), so that will probably be another £120 on top of everything else. Moral of this story? Don't buy your kids a feisty, flighty old KX65 race bike!
