I've been trying to find a carbon tail tidy other than the Ducati one with no success, does anybody know if anyone does them, found one at zero limits but its the same as standard, I want a smaller one ?
I could not find another carbon tail tidy and bought a Ducati one. I used this on my 2011 MTS Sport. I thought it looked superb. I have just bought a 2013 Skyhook and whilst I want a tidy back end (don't we all) I won't buy another one Duc Carbon one. Friends who ride with me, say that the indicators bulbs are so small they could not easily see them. Especially with the paniers loaded too. I will buy another tail tidy that uses bigger indicators and then get it adjusted to fit with paniers (I thnik most don't line up with the recessed space on the paniers?). I am looking at either the Rizoma or R&G versions. Hope this helps.
I fitted the Evotech tail tidy with Oxford Nano LED indicators, plenty bright enough see here: Ducati Multistrada 1200 S with Oxford Nano LED indicators + Evotech tail tidy - YouTube
In NZ that is not legal, you have to be able to see indicators 85 deg outward from vehicle centreline, and 35 deg inward of centreline. I would imagine UK has some such similar regulations.
Got to admit, I would not feel comfortable riding knowing the indicators had a limited field of vision.
Redblade the Duke one does look the part, but I've read that before about the led indicators plus the fact they want over £400. I've now brought a evotech one but will keep searching for a carbon one. Thanks for all replies .
I need to sort this before my rear end shakes itself to oblivion. The Evotech seems a reasonable price compared to DP. The indicators you used seem fine to me, as the are LED though do they cause problems or are they just plug and play? Cheers.
