Newbie to the Ducati world, just purchased a 2018 panigale v4. Would have like to got into a “s” model but I’m gonna see how I get on with this first and hopefully step up newer S model at some point. Not my first v4 with a single sided swingarm, my first road bike was a tidy little Nc35 (RVF400). Cracking little thing, since then I’ve have a fair few other bikes and still have a cbr600rr track bike which I used to race her in the uk. Anyway I can’t wait to pick up the v4, it’s been a good few years off riding on the road for me, so I’ll be taking my time getting used to it.
It will all come back to you in a flash, but remember be on your "A game" at all times as other road users are idiots.
Greetings! Enjoy that V4. I'm slowly fixing up a VFR400 - you're right they are cracking little bikes.
Yeah they are awesome. I do regret selling it but at the time it’s was the way up into the next bike. Only problem with the VFR is the awkward sized rear well. I did look at a lot of VFR’s (nc30’s) at the time. But I couldn’t pull myself away from the upside down forks and slight more modern looking front end. How is it finding parts for a project like that?
Finding the parts? For a lot of items its simple enough if you don't mind spending a fortune and a great deal of time on ebay! All the regular service items like pads, seals, cables etc can be bought easily for OK money. For the really rare stuff you need more luck than a lottery winner and twice as much cash -or patience. Did I mention I'm slowly fixing mine up? It will be worth it though in the end.
