That is the whole point of the forum......trust. Those days are gone now that we have been infiltrated. Normal defensive behaviour now applies.
I think I have one in my inbox right now. New member 0 history. Basically first check peoples history here. If they have some, its reasonably safe to say theyre ok. I just bought some mirror blanks from someone here. No problems at all. (thanks David) They had history. So, check profile page.

It’s not just forums. I let a guy I knew, very wealthy fella who I’d been away with a few times and was good mates of mates, have a full set of 848 bodywork and tank for £450. Let him take the stuff on a promise to pay, he didn’t, and there was duck all I could do about it. 300 miles away and ‘mates’ kind of shy’s away from confronting him for me saying ‘oh dear, that’s Charlie for you’ Even when I saw him face to face he was ‘did I ? Oh well.’ And flatly refused to pay. Other than get violent, which is t my thing since I became and (kind of) adult, what do you do?!
^ Sorry to read this, that's how some %&@£$ get "wealthy" isn't it. Often ends friendships, and quite rightly.
I'dve kicked the door down of his garage, taken my stuff back and booted the fucker up de arse. The guy is a common thief.
And we non-scammers are grateful for your vigilance in this. I don't envy the thankless job that being a moderator is especially dealing with the carp, so to put that right... Thanks mods !
