If you've got a snottoiler on your bike and you're riding in temperatures consistently over 30c turn it down. If you don't the oil get sprayed on the underside of your LH pannier and when you put the pannier on the pale coloured bed cover in your hotel it leaves nasty smears of oil. Whoops
Here's another top tip :- When your wife asks, "Does my bum look big in this?" Never reply, "The dress or the room?"
2 friends did the same years ago en route to WDW, thing is they were in the wrong room so git moved and someone else had to put up with the oily sheets! Lol
we're so unaccustomed to these extremes of heat that it's easy to forget the consequences. I remember how records and cassettes got warped/ruined when left in cars in 1976 not to mention animals dying because windows not left open enough.
I'm glad I'm not the only one. They're sitting out on the balcony of the latest hotel where they can't do any damage. Todays low point was a suicidal insect faceplanting on my GoPro and effectively wrecking the footage of a nice ride over the Maloja pass. That's me having to ride the bike again tomorrow instead of the promised sight seeing with the wife.
