Could anyone tell me what the translucent connector is? The one to the right of the allen bolt with the blanking plug in one end, secured by the rubber band. Fitted my sat nav to the other and seem to have, well, chopped it Everything seems to be working, but I just need to know as it's bugging me... 2019 950S Thanks in advance.
Correct, but if you have damaged it, might be worth getting the dealer to have a look, you don’t want a short or battery drain..
I think I will just reconnect it, but for now I've wrapped the wires, so it remains unconnected and safe, just out of the connector. I was very pleased with myself for attempting and succeeding at the nav install, until I realised I'd gone through that!
The other possibility is the connection for the aux lights, this usually needs activating by a dealer (or a shop with a TEXA diagnostic tool) so may not be an issue. its hard to gauge scale from your photo but it looks too big to be the Electronic fuel cap connector...not saying it isnt mind....just that it looks too big in that photo
Thanks. It's a good size, say the size of your thumb, maybe not quite as long (depending on how big your thumbs are!).
