(small) Bike Things You've Done Today

Discussion in 'Lounge' started by Cream_Revenge, Nov 15, 2018.

  1. Both bikes washed and now drying off :upyeah:

  2. Booked the 18k Desmo

Bought a chain, sprockets, scottoiler and rear tyre to be installed over the weekend.

Ordered a short Puig dark smoke screen and smaller legal number plate.

All left to do is rear LED indicators, rad and cooler guard and possibly a luggage rack.

  3. Just charged up the airbag vest and Packtalk on my touring helmet :)

  4. I went with pilot power 2c because of the 170 sizing, although lots said 180 was fine.

  5. Collected a set of replacement levers for the R6 that I ordered last week and then wended my way to MR to collect some fixings also ordered last week. About 80 leisurely miles later, the bike has been dusted off and put away for the night. Also got some good news, the new Monster is scheduled to leave Italy next week :D Andy

  6. What Monster are you getting Andy?

  7. Worked out how to fit the throttle spacer to the V4. Lubed the chain. Watched it get put in the back of a van where it’ll be taken to get the first service, full Akra fitted, and full PPF.

I’m in the US at the end of next week, so they’ll have it for a couple of weeks. The V2 will be in next week, so my dealer is going to take both bikes to get the PPF done while I’m away. I’m very impressed with how they don’t hesitate to go the extra mile, and wouldn’t hesitate recommending them to anyone looking for a Ducati.

  8. Which dealer is it?

  9. Ducati Alton

  10. Decided to clean the garage out and put the bikes in the drive. A mate ended up showing up so needless to say the fecking garage did not get cleaned. I'll have another go on Saturday, no phone calls will be answered. Garage cleaning.jpg

  11. Carole has chosen the (937) Monster in red and added a few essentials (heated grips, Termi) and a few nice to haves (touring screen, belly pan, rear seat cover, Corse decals). Andy

  15. Just had to remake my special tools for holding the vertical belt on the drive pulley.
I think I must have chucked the old ones - what a hassle to have to make more. Oh well.

  18. Yesterday I rode from home to Holyhead via Ducati Manchester. Then sailed over Dublin.

After a long winded route through and round Dublin (thanks to Tony Barker and his shit satnav) we finally ended up in our hotel in Naas just after 7pm.

Today we are off to the south west of Cork to Schull via a 262 mile twisty route apparently :upyeah:

  19. When they behave like that, I think you’ll find they’re called ‘Shatnavs’.

  20. You’ll be meeting up with WCP in Schull then?
He’s a very hospitable chap with some nice digs from what I understand.
