The requirement for evidence of financial security in the second link are an eye opener. I need to look into that further. Interesting that the financial requirement has been in force since 2020, wasn't asked for evidence on the either trip last year. Andy
The requirement has always existed for all arrivals from 3rd countries afaik. It's only that applies to the UK these days. In practice I don't believe they are checking everyone but I thought I'd mention it as I have personally met a few Brits in Barcelona recently that have been asked at customs to show they can afford their stay. I also know some pilots and flight crew that are telling the same story. In practice showing them your phone with yr bank balance should probably suffice.
