Hi guys, help needed please I have my Supersport S for 4 years with no issues until now, its occasionally misfiring & sometimes bucking, it almost had me off the other day very un-nerving now..i am guessing it could be the QS as i have heard of similar things like this before, but i do not know how to turn it off , i have looked at the programmes but cant fathem it. [SMC are pulled out with it right now so they cant me in for a couple of weeks] Can anyone help preferably who lives in Sheffield ? Cheers
I've heard of these Q/S problems too. I had a look my own bike to check how to turn the Q/S off. From the menu it wasn't obvious. I had too read the manual. From the menu you select RM (Riding Mode) and for from there. Here are the instructions.
Many Thanks Derek, i have just been in the garage for half an hour but it is confusing, in fact i think i will still struggle with the detailed instruction you have very kindly sent to me, perhaps i will have one more go if all fails i will call into the dealership, i am sure one of the mechanics will do it a few minutes. I always ride in Sport mode & although i have enjoyed the QS i am going to have turned off, i can enjoy the bike without that.. Thanks Again Derek
Hi Derek.. Update :- i think i managed to turn off the DQS.. display now just shows DQS [ not the "up & down" symbol as before] Also when i was in the Menu i saw the "engine" symbol which gave the option of low-medium-high,i am not sure what this is for or what it should be set at, so i left it on LOW is that OK? ..... also on the display screen the DTC is set at 3 & the ABS at 2... can you please advise are these settings all OK.... i cant remember what they were prior to messing with the computer. your advise is very much appreciated !! Thanks.. Derek.. Following on from the above, i have been out for a test ride with DQS OFF & it seems to have fixed the problem what i did notice though is that the power & throttle setting seem to less than before, i a guessing this is because i set the "Engine Setting to Low" ? ...So i have just re-adjusted it now to "High" but as yet not tested it again in the "High" Setting, but i think it will be right ?
