Me and my friend Pete went to the pub close to the hotel looking for the rest of our party and who should be there but @West Cork Paul and his wife! It was lovely to see him again, completely random as I didn't know he lived in Schull. And lovely to meet his wife too. And thanks for the pint of Guinness too @West Cork Paul ps. Paul, I've spoken to Tony about future trips and he'd like to talk to you about it, so pm me your mobile number and/or your email address too
Dropped off the superlight at Baines racing at Silverstone. Never been there before, met Geoff, what a great guy. He has filled me with confidence that he will get it sorted and running like it shoukd do.
Went to Stafford show and saw this. Real thing so I offered 100k, but only looking at offers over 250k
Looked outside in sorrow, I have 3 bikes and none are running. But managed to find another vented clutch housing, so now have a mag one for the 749 dark and a alloy one for the 749s, also received some gillies levers from a forum member that will be making their way onto the Diavel. Big win of the day was receiving some snoopy toys made in the 60s, I had these when I lived in Africa, but they got lost shortly after moving to the Uk at the age of 4, finally found a set and a boxed one at that! Big smile on my face to say the least.
Popped in to Motolegends for some new gloves. When I say 'popped' I mean was allocated a number approx. 15 behind the current visitor and joined the long, slow queue. So had a coffee, chatted, met a fellow MTS1260S rider, and eventually left with some of these...
Rode from Schull to killarney via the WAW, visiting places like Mizen Head on the way. Think it was about 222 miles all told. @West Cork Paul rode with us from Schull and had lunch with us in Kenmare before heading back home. It was good to meet up with you again @West Cork Paul and to spend time riding with you and having a chat too Now at the hotel, quick shower and then out for a couple of Guinness's Tomorrow we've got another 250ish mileage to Galway. Might meet the Galway Girl if she's around
Cheers El T it made a nice change to see (and ride with) so many Ducatis out here, usually I’m the only Duc in town out here. Safe riding for the rest of the trip, and at least you can now tell others it doesn’t rain here
