Anyone bidding and what looks cheap vs expensive? https://collectingcars.com/collecti...l/2022&utm_term=&utm_id=93744&sfmc_id=6192532
That 998 FE is a thing of beauty. But with only 2 miles on the clock, you couldn't actually ride it as it would lose money? Oh that early R1, lovely. Makes me want another one.
Thank you for the tip-off @RC1 The 1098R will be interesting, could it be Mr Tea? 69 bids on the DDesmo finishing at 57 and a 1/2. EDIT 1098R:- 45 bids and went for 15.5
Too true... anyway my bloody laptop's battery decided to quit at 50% charge and just died mid trying to register! Lol... Anyway, how do you register? Perhaps my dislike for Cookies has crippled the Create account bit? Or my t'other half is cleverer than I give her credit for?? I think she spotted the invoice for the 848 service/repairs yesterday.....gonna be a quiet week...
It is very tempting. That SP1 is gorgeous. Always wanted one. Of course the 5% buyers fee plus VAT helps my decision making.
The 1098R was from Stockport, so maybe not Mr Tea's bike? Actual buying price would have been £16439 (assuming VAT is only payable on the buyers premium?).
If that's correct then there's not many bargains to be had. To take the example of the 1098R: Winning bid - £15500 Buyers premium (5% + VAT) - £775 + £155 = £930 Winning bid + buyers premium - £16430 VAT on total - £3286 Real purchase price - £18787 I think (maths and VAT not my strong point! Just seen RC1's post - forget the above!!
