  1. Definitely different. Rode both over the same 50 mile test route across the Yorkshire moors on roads I know very well.
Bought the tuono as that made me laugh as soon as I started on it whereas maybe I was expecting a bit too much from the superduke.
Which was the bike I was expecting to buy.

  6. Congrats on the new bike. But I have to ask what was wrong with the Trumpet? I was given to understand that those bikes were the cats miaow?

  7. They are awesome bikes. Just outstanding to be honest. But. I have a v2 Bayliss on the way and all my bikes were full on sports bikes. So time for a change. Had it two years as well which is a lifetime for me. :D

  12. Take lots of money with you and keep one eye on the fuel warning light and know where your fuel stops are.;) Riding with my bud on his always makes for frequent stops in a 4-5 hour ride. But most of all enjoy such a fabulous machine.:upyeah:

  13. I’ve spent 45 minutes this morning getting the white factory chain lube off the chain. The swing arm is a real thing of beauty.
Fuel. Yes. I burnt most of a tank full on a fairly spirited hour long test ride so I am prepared o_O

  15. Mpg seems to vary a lot on tuonos for some reason. Akra slip on and race map I get 140+ miles to a tank, and thats spirited riding.
Well wear on the new bike. Have my 18 factory over a year now and love it.

  16. His 20 and 21 plate do similar figures, it’s preferable when he uses his S1000r as we can relax a little. Tuono 90 miles lights on and time for a fuel stop for my bud, as we ride mostly Shropshire/Welsh Wales petrol stations aren’t so numerous.

  17. Mine empties the tank in 90 miles !!! ‍♂️

  18. They are available in other colours you know LOL!

Horses for courses I guess, I've got Gen3 SDR and Mr C had a 2017/2018 Tuono which has just been replaced by the latest version. Out of all of the supernaked's I think these two are the best there is personally, MT10 - long in the tooth to be a real contender, Kwak HS2 is just a heavy barge and the Streetfighter is way too much money and track oriented for everyday use.

Personally, my SDR is the best bike I've owned, I've got a 1299S Pani which hasn't moved since I bought the SDR 18 months ago, it's just bonkers and puts a smile on my face whenever I go for a ride. The torque is relentless, way more than you really need. But I do like the howl the the Ape v4 when it starts to get a lick on, the decider for me would be dealer back up which is non existent for me, but I have a Ducati and KTM dealer both 10 miles away. If there was a dealer within a decent distance it may have been a different story.
