Keep saying to my mate we must take the gravel bikes and try out Salisbury Plain. Are there decent waymarked routes?
im sure there are, but I prefer the Forest. Salisbury Plain is the other side of the A303 so best avoided until we get a tunnel
Today my friend Darren (plus his other half) is coming over to finish off cobbling the path in the back garden. Then it needs grouting. All in all I reckon there’s probably 5-6 hours work. And hopefully that’s it for now!
Consider joining Hampshire Gravel Bikes on Facebook, the times don’t suit me, but they ride the Forest. If you are on Strava look at heatmaps, which I’m planning to do myself.
Deep fried badger oysters with a sweet and sour sauce. Yummy. Served on a bed of recycled kitchen roll with a left over kebab lemon. My juices are running Hold the dandelion salad, too healthy! Not so keen on fox sauté.
Are you on a special cultural tour of the USA? If so it's only fair that you should name the travel agent who arranged it...
I fancy riding from Warminster to Imber next time it’s open. I’ve have done it on the motorbike Christmas one year and have friends in Warminster if I don’t ride it all the way from home I could drive to theirs and leave the car.
Unfortunately not, but as they’ve opened a new Hooters ten minutes from our house, I felt obliged to check it out. For research purposes, mind.
Absolutely, worth checking out their world famous cuisine. Still remember the waitress taking them to court when she won a star wars toy (a Toy Yoda) instead of a well known Japanese car.....
Happy days as i found a brand new tyre hiding for many months behind the daddy today, also i managed the first ride out on it.
Finally (nearly) finished off the cobbling to the path in the back garden. I still have a bit of grouting to do, as we started to lose daylight but it’s more or less done. Thank goodness! I thought it’d take 5-6 hours all in today to finish it off but it took 9 hours. The job took 4 whole days all told, with probably another couple of hours left to do the grouting. But that’ll get done on Thursday at the earliest. Still we’re very happy with it now
I have moved the computer stuff upstairs including a new phone socket - so needed something to put the Wifi router on to keep it off the floor. So got one of these from B&Q. I managed to make mine upside down so had to take the top off and swap it for the bottom Took some pictures of them all to check the measurements.
