I’m in first thing so they can take the Termi race system off the Sport and fit it to the new bike. I’ll also ask if they’ll fit my old rad guard whilst they do. Whilst they are doing that they are lending me an Urban Motard for a few hours to run around on. Are you going in tomorrow? Fancy going for a run out if you do? I’m anticipating getting out for a ride from around 10am till around 2pm - but that’s just me guessing.
MOT for Hermann done. Relieved that the cameras didn't get me while unaware (duh!) of riding it without... Oops. Now have .gov txt reminders set up for both bikes.
Sounds like a great idea if I wasn’t working and it wasn’t pissing down! Good luck with you new stable mate.
Apart from the work bit I don't blame you......I got drenched getting here! I'm now drying off in the showroom
Spent 7 hours drying off in the showroom and waiting for the bike to have the Termi system fitted. And it still needs the ECU remapping and dyno’ing, but that’ll be done when I get the first service done. That said it doesn’t run like a bag of knackers with the standard ecu map, and it sounds and performs/handles just like the Sport did. So that’s ok. Anyway here’s a gratuitous pic of me getting ready to leave the dealer at 4pm. Do I look a tad pissed off after such a long wait?
What do you think? Anyhoo…..busy day today so I’ve dried all my gear from yesterday, just put the airbag vest and Packtalk on charge on the off chance I can get out on the scrambler to get some miles on it as I’d like to get the ecu and first service done sooner rather than later. Then when the weather does finally improve I can concentrate on the Bayliss for a bit.
Had to make a slight amendment to my Scrambler insurance due to a minor cock up by the dealer . Didn't cost anything extra though
Dusted the Yamaha off, oil and filter, fairings off deep clean, chain lubed/adjusted, Akro fitted, srf replaced! All ready for drop off Saturday! Presently sat in my leathers with back protector in! Bastid things have shrunk i swear
Heading out this morning for an ‘on road’ riding assessment session with Rapid Training. Weather looks great and with the likelihood of a choice of some of the best roads from Dorset to West Sussex to ride on, it has the potential to be a great day. Andy
