  2. Little video of the first run, it feels really nice, clutch is super light compared to the 916 and I feel like it’s going to ride really nice with the suspension all having a nice re fresh.

makes me want a different clutch for the yellow one now

  3. Mot passed, 110 miles down! Had no Rev counter for a day then I had one and today it’s gone again… any ideas?

    looks nice though

  5. Couple of small issues, one is a slight stutter at low throttle if you load it up? Almost like it’s drawing in air somewhere.

Rev counter was marked so swapped it with a spare but the spare is no good so need to swap it back.

This aside… great bike to ride loads different to the 996

  6. thats a great job mate :upyeah:
wonder if the stutter is from the TPS needing a tweak?

  7. Have you got a pair of vacuum gauges to pop on to check the 'just-off-the-stop' balance?

  8. my thoughts also, away for a couple of days will get a look when im back, also so impressed with the slipper clutch so much nicer to use and ride.

  9. Little update, done around 500 miles on the 996 now and really happy with it, the slight stutter was much better after doing a few Miles but still wasn’t as I would have liked it to be.

after using PG Performance for the servicing on the rear shock I had planned to have the bike set up for me and all I can say is that I am blown away!

Suspension all adjusted sag set etc, throttle bodies balanced, diagnostics plugged in and all perimeters checked and even adjusted the chain while he was there which was a nice touch. This being said the bike is completely different, smoother more responsive and my god does it handle better! I cannot recommend his work enough so happy I’ve booked the 916 on for the Same treatment!

  11. Ok so I’m properly in love with the 996 it’s a lovely bike to ride.
    However… can’t stop looking at 999’s ‍♂️

    Anyone have one?

  13. I've one of each and one should go, preferably the black, you'd have one of each colour then

  17. Been a little quiet as of late. Have Finally stripped the swing air for the 3rd bike so thats off at the welder at the moment for chain rub repairs.

Took the day off Friday and had the bike back in with PGP Performance after the difference it made to the 996 having the suspension set up and throttle bodies/trim sorted I knew the 916 could be better.

once again amazing results, trim set far too rich, bodies miles out and the suspension is just perfect now. cant recommend his work enough!

  18. Hope all are well, did the national rally yesterday, 340 miles on the 996, some interesting sat nav roads and plenty of wet stuff, loved every min though bike didn’t skip a beat!

  19. After the rally I took a few days to chill and it got me all inspired to build up the 3rd bike,

have the wheels painted and frame already done. Got some scrubs fitted to the wheels so I can mock up a nice rolling chassis, and have dropped the nice forks off to PGP for servicing as they will go in the 996 possibly, maybe the 916, also thinking about a carbon air box? Not sure if anyone has any experience with them? Which to go for etc?

also saved another fellow owners swing arm this week
