Sort of, I'm using a dyno. Unleaded gives strange colours though so I guess I will up jet it a bit and see what happens.
5 hours in the saddle, absolutely on the edge. Had a great day riding but I’m utterly knackered and have run out of adrenalin. My eyes feel like they’ve been on stalks for ever and every muscle in my body aches. Won’t get a written report for a week or so but got some very positive and confidence building feedback as well as comments on one or two areas I can improve on. All in all a good day but I’m glad I don’t get to do it all again for 2 whole years Andy
Went to Ducati Worcester to meet up with the owners club, I didn’t go out on the ride tho because I have a suit fitting later for my brothers wedding. Good turn out. Maybe I should join DOCGB?
Like any like minded manufacturer enthusiasts clubs, you get a range of people. Like any club with regional groups, some regions are better supported than others. Pretty sure the Ducati Sporting Club was formed out of disaffected DOCGB members. Some dealers offer a discount for DOCBG members as the club is recognised by Ducati. @El Toro is ideally placed to give you information being a leading light in his local group. Andy
Did the same this morning in Bristol just to see what turned up. Looked over a couple of the new Monsters - a lot better in the flesh is all I can say - wouldn't buy one myself.
After yesterday's rideout on the PS, i refitted the mirrors back on today as i didn't have a socket with me....no problem turning your head for life savers. Unlike the bloke on a sportsbike late afternoon yesterday as he nearly took me out as he didn't bother looking at his mirrors or over his shoulder.
I knew they were an arse to fit but didn’t realise how much effort I put in…woke up this morning with a fucked wrist which has lasted all day. Superb timing for my first trackday of the year on Monday! Consequently, haven’t been able to do any track bike prep today as I can’t twirl a spanner or take bike off stand to move it to the front of the garage. Christ I hate getting old!
Spray the inside of the grips with hairspray before fitting, it lubricates sufficiently to allow insertion of the bar but evaporates so the grip actually grips the bar and does not rotate (unlike washing up liquid which does not evaporate). Bit late now for you of course, hope the wrist recovers so you can enjoy your track day
I always fitted grips this way. Since watching a 44 teeth vid, now get the airline under the grip and a blast of air and slide it off. Fitting is the reverse, simples.
You get free stuff, and discounts from dealers and some insurance companies. And you get big discount on Ducati events (eg WDW tickets). You can easily recoup your annual membership in one or two transactions. Plus you’ll get to go on rides etc with like minded people throughout the season I think it’s worth it. Certainly is for me anyway
Fitted a side stand Peg extension to my v4 today. Soo much easier to get to the stand now. before After
