Some guy in a van made off with my Evo today!

  1. Thankfully he left this before he made his getaway. Goodbye white Evo, hello silverback Corse SE. :upyeah:

I was worried about the colour having only seen pics but in the flesh its really quite stunning. Got to see how quickly I can get it through the break-in period so I can really start having fun.

  2. Very nice. Would be my choice if I ever broke free from my obsession with the 748/916 models

  3. That's nice :upyeah: Ps two hours on a dyno and it's run in very nicely.

  4. Thanks guys. I've already done 90 miles, has the window passed for a dyno run in?

Got to say its miles better than my old Evo - that bike clearly had issues. The Corse goes round corners like its on rails, the other bike was a real struggle. More feel from the back end too and that Ohlins shock is a big improvement in ride quality over the sachs. Plush even. Liking all the new toys esp the quickshifter, very cool and takes a bit of strain off the old left hand. Also loving these Diablo Supercorsas. Could be the weather but they feel stickier than the Diablo Rosso II I had before. I'm a happy chappy.

  5. Enjoy....its the weather, nothing better than these tyres in the lush warm :upyeah:

  6. Shweet...:upyeah:

  7. Heh, will do Bradders. They've already got a rippled surface from 1 ride and I'm taking it easy. Sticky stuff indeed.

  8. You've said all the things I've said about the EC SE :upyeah:

  9. No its still fine for a dyno run in. Ask Nelly if he would do it.

  10. Just run it in by riding it...why miss all that fun?!

  11. Fantastic. I pick my Evo Corse up next wednesday....

Not at all excited though!

  12. Not found much info on what a dyno run in will do, over and above running it in myself. Got any links I can read? What does it cost?

  13. I'm excited for you :)

I am REALLY happy with the bike so far.

  14. You have a point. Reckon I can get it to 600 miles in the next few days anyway if I can squeeze in some rides between working. The dealer told me not to worry too much about it, but there is that nagging feeling I might not be doing it as well as it could be done. I'm being sensible but not anal.

  15. You came from a position of having had the 848 Evo so understood what it was like to ride a Ducati in the firsty place.

I came from the new R1 and did wonder if I'd done the right thing as immediately I found the riding position more extreme and my wrists ached for about three weeks. But I soon got used to it and I absolutely love it now. It makes me go all gooey inside when I look at it :upyeah:

  16. I had a 1098 which I thought was fairly comfy.

This time I am moving from a 749 which is fricking uncomfortable! 175 mile trip to swap the bikes over so not looking forward to the trip up but should be made better by the trip back....

  17. Great time to pick one up. Nice problem having to stop for cold fluid rather than try and warm and dry your hands, feet and bollox!
