Hi all! I'm from Sweden (Stockholm area) and bought my first Ducati, a 748s, a couple years ago. I almost didnt buy it, since it had 50 000km on the meter and was in really bad condition, but I got it for a good price and decided it deserved a second chance in life. So, I've been spending quite some time getting it sorted out, including renovation of the rear and front suspension, valve adjustment, replacement of clutch basket and plates, and well, the full list is quite long. I'm not quite finished with it, but mostly what remains is now the aesthetics, getting it back to looking as shiny new as possible. After a lot of work, it looks like this summer I will actually get to start riding it!
Most salesman throw in something on the deal as a sweetener, but a pair of lower legs...boy you did well. Welcome and enjoy your maiden flight.
Welcome to the forum eoo748, well done for keeping your bike on the road despite the distance she's been. My friend has a 996 with the equivalent of about 75,000km (46,000 miles) on the odometer and he has no intention of changing to anything else.
